Question about article length

I know I've read it before but I can't find it now. Is there a minimum and maximum article length for articles on CC? My apologies if I'm overlooking the answer somewhere.

There are no strict limits. Articles should not be so long that they cannot be easily read and digested by a web reader. Articles should not be so short that they do not provide enough information for the reader. It all depends upon the subject, but I do think articles that are 3k words or more push it.
Thanks,
Ed

Thanks, Ed for such a prompt reply. I've written a comprehensive article that is 1620 words. I didn't know if that was outside the limits here at CC. I have to say, as a newbie, I'm very impressed with the quality of the writing here (and humbled).

I think that's a good length. Many writers here will tell you that articles that are longer than the average (about 500 wds) have been selling.
