Using an article in my online portfolio

I'm in the middle of setting up a web page to sell myself as a copywriter, and want to rewrite one of the articles I wrote and use it in my online portfolio. This article was written for a request but not purchased, and doesn't have any rights sold yet. I assume I can use it as long as I remove the unique/full rights on CC and just have usage only?

Yes. Just make sure you remove those rights before posting it.

Alternatively, you could post the whole article in Constant-Content, and then make a link to your author's page or the specific article.

On my business website, I have a link to my Author's profile page which has the top 5 articles I have available for sale. This way I don't have to constantly update the links as my articles sell. :)
