Erg! I fouled up.

I submitted a piece for a public request, but I accidentally designated it as a private request. I have no idea what that means as far as the queue goes.

I added a note to the summary asking if it could be re-designated to the right place.

Would it be best to delete it and re-submit?

Yeah, I'd delete and resubmit. While marking an article as a private request does generally get it reviewed faster (because a customer is waiting for it), you don't want a general request sitting in the Private Request category as few customers will ever see it.
