Question on .txt file

Hi,

If anyone can answer this question, I'd really appreciate it. I never pay much attention to how I save a doc in MS Office Word 2003. A buyer has asked me if my document is downloadable in .txt file and I don't know...Is it? I want to make sure I give the requester the right answer.

Thanks!

T

Hi,

If you uploaded it from Word 2003, it's most likely in the .doc format. You will need to upload the article in .txt format if that's what the customer is requesting as the customer apparently does not own Word or a compatible word processor. I sold an article to this same customer (I assume since it's such an unusual request) a few weeks ago and had to delete my original approved submission and resubmit in .txt. Kind of a pain, but doable. Just let Ed know when you resubmit.

In Word, go to File > Save As and then choose the .txt extension.
