Number of words required for articles?

As far as submitting your own articles, is there a # of words minimum/maximum?

Not really. Blog posts and reviews tend to be fairly short 200-300 words or so while some of the longer articles are in the 1500-2000 word range. Much longer and you might want to check with Ed first.

Personally, I'd stick with the 200 to 300 word range for blog and short articles (at the minimum). Unless, a customer has a public request for less (or you've received a private request for less).
I've seen 5000+ word articles in the real world, but I'm not sure how they'd do here - especially if it weren't for a public or private request. Celeste is right, in that you should probably stick at 1500 to 2000 for a maximum. Depending on the article, you may be able to turn a super-long one into several articles.
