Where is my sample hiding?

I submitted an article in response to requested content and assume it was under review for three days. During that three day period I noticed five "hits". Does this mean the person initially interested came back five times? Slow reader? I'm trying to understand how everything works so bear with me.
Also, I just went to look at my article for the first time and the "Sample" box has no sample in it.
It's blank. Not a word, not a dot. I copied most of the article into that sample box. So what's up with that? Maybe he came back five times looking for the article?

I'm not sure if it's a browser thing preventing you from seeing your sample, but when I look at your article (I'm guessing you mean "Experience Staten Island"? It's the only one I found under your username.) there is a large portion of writing listed under the "sample" area. Have you tried looking at someone else's article and seeing if you are able to read the "sample" area?
If you aren't able to, then this could be a serious issue preventing potential buyers from seeing samples and the tech team will need to hear about it. Anyway, that's all I could think of, but I'm sure the others might be able to help you more when they log into the forums.

I just checked my article again and the sample loaded immediately. Apparently, it was a fluke.
A little alarming, tho', since it had never happened before when viewing an article.
If someone can speak to my curiosity about the "hits", I'll go away happy!
Thanks.

As for the hits, could they be from you viewing the page? Each time you view your article page, it also registers a hit. Even while the articles are still in review, if you click the article title in the "My Content" page, it will add one hit to the counter. Perhaps this is what happened?

No. I didn't click on the link at all during the review period when I noticed the five hits.
It was my understanding that the only person who could view the article during the review period was the person who requested the content. Which made me curious about the five hits.

If someone visits your profile page, they can see all articles accepted, even those that are designated for private or public requests (even before three days). Someone must've visited your profile and clicked from there.

AaaHA! Thanks, Celeste. I didn't realize that, so mystery solved.
