Quick question about spelling/typo rejection

Post by Antonia »

I'm tearing my hair out trying to revise an article that was rejected for "spelling errors or typos." Ed, I obviously don't expect you to remember the specific article ("Save Money with Free Resources at Your Local Library") but in general, might an article be rejected for any of the following:

- "internet" instead of "Internet"
- "Storytime" instead of "Story-time"
- "Shhh"
- "middle-schoolers"

???

If it's not one of those...is there anyone who wouldn't mind taking a quick glance? I rarely let errors of this type slip into a finished piece, so if I missed it on the first submission, it must be one of those "invisible" errors that just NEED another pair of eyes.... :)

Hi Antonia,

You can mail me the piece and I'll be glad to be your second pair of eyes.

Hi Antonia

Have mailed your piece back with my two-bit's worth - it's a great article! Yeah, and I also thought story-time should be storytime, but thought it was a branded name, so left it.

Yes--it got accepted this time with no problems! Thanks again for your invaluable help. I'll be sure to let you know if it sells...it's not really a hot topic, so who knows when...but I am hoping it will appeal to library dorks like me :)

So my library article just sold...for $45! A million thanks to canywriter...without your help I would have given up on revising this article and not submitted it again. I know I've said this before, but I love how supportive the CC community is. Thanks again CW and if you ever need a second pair of eyes, just ask! (That goes for anyone else, too :) )

I know, Antonia, I saw it too :-). Way to go! And like I said, anytime. Were all those nursing articles yours too?
