I know that the standards of this site go far beyond the MS Word leverage, but I noticed in the Review section when I clicked on Grammar and Spelling, I got some stats under Readability. Has anyone tried using this for judging the article?
I mean I was looking for something like - if the Flesch Reading Ease stat was 80% then your article is good, or something like that.
Anyone?

The readability stats don't tell you anything more than the grade level. Nowadays you need to keep it to the 7th grade level or so unless the article technically oriented.
And you have to be careful which service you use. I've run MS Word, Open Office, and Google Docs readability test on one piece of work. Each had radically different results.
Just my two-cents. Hope it helps. Have a great day.
