Sorry if this question is answered somewhere in this forum but I havent seen it yet. How long does it usually take for an article to be approved by admin after submitting it?

Apparently the editors place a high priority on quickly processing articles that are flagged for client requests. The two I've written for client requests were approved in a day or less. If it's an idea you've come up with yourself, it could take a week or more, from what I've read on the forums. (I put one in two days ago and am still waiting.)

Just wanted to let you know that I have a Private Request that was submitted on 10/23 and I haven't heard anything from the editors about it either (nor has it been approved). Unusual, as private requests seem to be approved very quickly, or have in the past anyhow. May be a sign that they're back-logged or something at the moment.

That is unusual. All my submissions for public requests have been approved same day or the next. I wonder what happened to yours. Maybe write to support?

Articles that have simply been categorized as "private" and not submitted to a request the customer has made through our request system become difficult to identify and may become lost among the articles pending review for general sale. While I can certainly review your article now that I know it exists, if you receive a request from a customer in the future, please let him or her know that review time for private requests is usually much shorter when the request system is used.

Oh very helpful, Ed. Thank you! That makes sense, but I'd never thought of that before - quite often, clients will send me a message and we'll discuss things back and forth about what they need. Never thought to tell them to resubmit it through the request.
