I suppose this is a question for Ed, but maybe someone else has the answer too.

I use a pen name here, but I'm about to upload an article for usage that is under my real name. Is Ed able to see our account info to see our real names to verify the article is mine?

Why not include your real name in your short summary? You can always remove it after the article is accepted.

I think Ed can cross reference our pen names to our real names if you mention it in the summary but am not completely sure of that.

That is true. You don't need to include you real name in the document since Ed can see all your information when reviewing your articles.
