Strange Question

Post by J. A. Young »

Perhaps someone with some internet wisdom could respond--but why is it I can get to the new site at work, but at the same time my husband could not from home and still got the message letter that the site was down. I was on the phone with him and wanted him to take a look at the new site. Just want to be sure I can access the site from anywhere.

Its one of two things:

Its cached and he just needs to delete his cache (temp internet files). Or and most likely, that DNS has not kicked in for his ISP yet. We changed servers and DNS so some ISP's take longer to learn the new servers IP, so he is most likely seeing the old site and old IP.

Thanks for the fast response. How is everything going? I have at least five articles finished and ready to submit, but do you recommend waiting or at least staggering their submission? --J

Chris, I see the new site when I log in but when I come to the forum I see the old site. Emptying my cache didn't help.

I am also going back and forth between the old green site and the new gray site. Tried refreshing, etc. No luck.

I wonder if this has something to do with the fact I am using Mozilla Firefox.

Or maybe it is the address. Like right now it is green.

darcylogan,
Wish I could be of more help to you, but all I can tell you is that I am using Mozilla Firefox. So far, getting the old cc with the green only just happened to me today in the forum. The rest of the site seems to be the new. Hopefully ll of these glitches will be resolved soon. Gypsy
