Do Private Request submissions need an intro paragraph?

Post by PeggyTee »

A customer wants me to write a number of 100-150 word articles, each on a different product. These are for his affliate website, so they do not require an introduction as that is taken care of by his landing page. When submitting, would I have to write up an intro paragraph for each one? Or can I note in the Short Summary that the customer does not require an intro?

I just write "For Customer Name Only" in the short summary when I know that the article is unlikely to go into the general pool.

But would Ed reject on the basis that there is no intro paragraph as stated in the submission guidelines?

If you are sure that the customer does not want an intro and conclusion paragraph, then I would just write a short note to Ed when I submitted the article for review. I know private requests often ask for things that are technically contrary to general C-C guidelines, like written in first person, and they still get approved, so long as Ed knows that is what the requester asked for.

Just do what the customer requires for your private request. You're good to go.
