A question about bylines

Hi there,

I've just found out about this site and I'm considering signing up as an author; the whole system seems well designed and strikingly fair.

I did want to ask one question about bylines, though. I can see on the sign up screen that there's a field for my real name, which I assume is for payment purposes, and a pen name, which I assume is what people see when they're looking to buy content. On top of that, there are bylines, which authors can place in their articles and buyers can only remove if they purchase the right to do so, I gather. So, provided I have all that right: does Constant Content care what's in the byline for an article? Does it need to match either author's real name or account pen name?

I ask because I'm interested in possibly connecting some articles to a pen name that I use elsewhere, but only those that are relevant. Is it within the rules to use different names in the byline for different articles?

Thanks in advance.

Hoping it's legal for me to give this a little bump -- are there guidelines for this anywhere? Otherwise, maybe an admin/editor will swing by and fill me in?
Sorry for the trouble!

Belzy,
Check out the forum by Ed under Questions and Answers titled "Must-Read Resources - New Authors: Start Here." These links should answer many of your questions. Concerning bylines and pen names, the name you use on here must exactly match the byline on any articles you wish to sell on here that are published elsewhere. When you submit an article that has been previously published, both bylines must read exactly the same or the article will be sent back to you for plagiarism. If you use various pen names, you would need to go to any you wish to post here and change the byline to match your pen name on here. Also, any previously published articles can be sold under Usage rights only! Hope this helped some! Make sure you check out the New Authors forum! Welcome!
