Question on percentages/earnings

Post by RFHarris »

Author (you): 65% of every sale
Affiliate: 25% of every sale
Referring Author: 5% of every sale
Constant-Content: 10% of every sale

I am wondering, my profile does not have any affiliates or referring authors listed in it. In the case that I actually ever sell anything (I'm patient in this regard), where does the respective 25% and 5% go?

Thanks!

PS: I am not complaining at all. I understand the costs of upkeep and marketing. Just curious on the details.

percentages

I came to the forum with the exact question as posted above, but also wondered why it adds up to 105%? I've had a few sales and saw that I got the 65% of the sale. I guessed that those non-used percentages (the 25% affiliate & 5% ref. author) reverted to CC since they were "unclaimed". Is this correct?

You would never know if an affiliate sold one of your articles... affiliates are websites that are paid to sell your content. It has nothing to do with you, affiliates sell everyone's content. As for referring authors you wouldn't know if you were referred either, most authors are referred and don't even realize it. It has nothing to do with writers you refer its who refered you.... And yes CC takes the left over if an affiliate didn’t sell your article or a referring author didn’t refer you.

The affiliates percentage is 20% not sure where those numbers cam from but we need to fix them.

Ah well that makes sense then!

The numbers are the ones that show up when you go to submit an article...the "percentages" pop up window right above where you type in the cost.

Thanks constant for clearing that up!
