Best Offer

Post by kimny72 »

Hello!

I recently joined and have started posting some of my articles that are already out on the internet for usage rights. I am curious as to whether I should check off the Best Offer button or not. Does this just motivate customers to try to lowball you? I don't want to scare off someone who thinks the price I've set is a little high, but I also don't want to suggest that I'm willing to give my work away. Thoughts?

Thank you!

Everyone has different opinions. I sometimes check best offer and sometimes don't. Which is right? Who knows.

I doubt that not having the Best Offer option will scare anyone away--if they're serious they can easily send an email asking for a price adjustment. I never use it anymore because I've developed a pretty good sense of how to price my work, but since you're new you could try using it for a bit just to see how it works. Be warned, you may indeed get some lowballs! (Don't accept them, but don't waste time feeling insulted either--just hit "reject" and wait for the right buyer to come along.)
