My first article (twice rejected) is also still under review status, and has been since the 11th. That's only eight business days though. I've read where it can sometimes take ten or more days for non-requested articles, so I'm on tenderhooks yet again. I'm trying to be ultra cool but I am anxious to get past this article and prove that i'm up to high standards of C-C.

Ed, if you're listening, please be gentle lol...

I've got one in review too - but have you noticed the MANY requests? That will keep Ed busy.

I think Ed must have caught up because I just submitted an article for a public request at 10:00 last night and it was reviewed by the time I woke up this morning. Thanks, Ed!

Well, the articles submitted to public request are clearly reviewed quickly as clients are waiting!

I have the same query (ish) though on a non-request review. I submitted one on 14th that's still in review even though a much later submission has already been reviewed. I totally understand how long it may take to review any of them - no idea how Ed keeps up - but wonder if usually they are reviewed in order of submission (early submissions first) or is there no particular order to the reviews.

Really just checking that I've no reason to be concerned that my submission from 14th still hasn't been considered even if a later one has?

Priority is given to articles flagged for Public and Private requests. Articles written on spec get reviewed but there does not seem to be a set order. I have no inside knowledge but from watching the forum I suspect that Ed tackles new authors as he gets the time/energy. It must be easier to do a reviews for seasoned authors that know the ropes - looks ok, approve, next.

I still haven't had my article reviewed yet. I submitted it on 5/11.

I emailed support, but I still have heard nothing. It has been rejected twice, so should I assume it didn't make it through again?

It was the "Beach Wedding" article, and my name is Cynthia Neatherlin, should anyone happen by...

I've had some stuff in my review queue for a little while, too (I haven't been keeping track), but the best thing to do is just keep writing and submitting stuff. With all the public requests, I'm imagining Ed has quite a logjam piled up and it'll be a while before stuff gets sorted out.

There ain't no way I could be an editor. Gaah!

Melinda.

I have an article under review. It was suggested that priority is given if the article is flagged as Public Request. This article was written for a Public Request. How do I flag it?

There's a drop-down menu on the submission form. You need to select the relevant request from this list.

Thanks for the info. I just did that but it asked me to uncheck the request box. I think you cannot tag the request until it has been authorised. This is my first article!

"Flagging" an article as a submission for a public request is part of the submission process. One of the fields on the Submit Article screen says, "Is This For A Request?" If you indicate that the article's for a public request, you'll then get a menu from which to choose which request it is.

Did you do that when you submitted your article? If not, you may have to delete the submission and resubmit.
