Best Offer Functionality

Post by REason »

Looked & searched for documentation and instructions on the new function "best offer", couldn't find any. Could you point me in the right direction?

Upon author's acceptance what exactly does the system do? Does the buyer get notified via e-mail? does the author have to change the price themselves? or does the system automatically do this? If the author changes the price themselves then this opens the possibility of others to purchase it at that specified price....So many questions and slightly confused!

Thanks in advance for the extra assistance.

You accept or reject the buyer gets an email and they can purchase it for the new price. Its pretty simple..

REason,

The best offer box is either checked or not during submission of a new article OR you can click the edit link from your content and check the best offer box at the bottom and save changes.

Is that what you were looking for?

Hmmm - Accepted Offer

Post by REason »

I'm waiting patiently, but must admit I'm a skeptic. Accepted an offer 5 days ago and it the article hasn't sold yet. Meanwhile other articles in that same category are selling like hotcakes. Perhaps the buyer changed their minds. Can us authors get notified when this occurs? Maybe, I just mucked up the process - an unforeseen user error. *shrug* I'll continue to wait patiently and give it a few more weeks.

Umm - I Really Do Need Assistance

Post by REason »

I just looked at the article from the category view (like a buyer would) and I noticed that it said available in txt format only (which is unusual for me). So I checked my submission entry and the files are gone! I had 1 file in .doc format and 1 file in .txt format. I promise you that I didn't do anything today as far as editing, I just looked at the entry.

I may have mucked up the system - but I know that I didn't delete the files. The article ID is 41530. Sorry that I created a mess.
