A public request was just posted requesting that writers interested in proofreading a brochure contact the requester directly: "if you email me at [addresss] i will send you the brochure via publisher file and you can revise and i will choose the best option." What is the proper way to address this request via the CC system?

I saw this and thought it looked fishy. You aren't allowed to go around the CC system and contact the customer through other means. Although it is possible to be honest and still use CC, it is also possible to handle the transaction through email on the side.
Anyway, by the time I looked up the request, it had expired. My thought is that CC took it down... ???

When files need to be exchanged as they sometimes do, contact support and explain. I've had clients email the files to David Kool (CC's manager) and then he's forwarded them to me. It works out. Another client uploads files to YouSendIt and then tells me how to download them.
