One of the requests is specifically asking for a first person view article. How can we accomplish this without the article being rejected?

Just place a note in the short summary that the customer has requested first person point of view. WG

A great article to write for those of us who get our fair share of rejections at CC. 1st person is hard to sell though, so you might want to approach it 3rd person anyway in case the requester does not buy. Just saying.

Thanks for the advice jadedragon, although I already submitted my article before I read your reply. I'm hoping it would still sell despite being in first person.

The very first submission I ever made here was to a first-person public request. The customer liked the piece but didn't feel it was a perfect fit. So it sat on the shelf getting a lot of hits and I wrote it off thinking it would never sell. But it did sell 6 months later!

lol, my article about the fear of rejection ended up getting rejected

the editors were kind enough to let me know what went wrong. I always get messed up with the tense shift.

If it's a public request, you don't need to worry about putting a note to the Eds. They will be aware that the buyer has specifically asked for something outside of the usual guidelines.
