Question about articles reviewing books

How can I find out if an author has already written a review about a particular book? Or do you suggest I go ahead and write the review regardless?

Thanks, Rose

You can use the search feature to look for an article on a specific topic. But why not write the review anyway? A potential buyer may like yours better.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for your answer. I'm still trying to figure out what to write about. Can't seem to pick a topic/subject that I feel comfortable enough with to write about it. I've got some ideas rolling around in my head but I feel so inadequate! Tell you what, you pick a topic, any topic and I will write an article about it. I need to submit something to see how the submission process works. Thanks! Rose.

Write about being indecisive and how it can keep you from living your dreams.

Rose,

How about an article about roses? Like, where do they get such strange names or why are people so fascinated with them or how can you keep aphids off of them or what the different types are or where the most popular public rose gardens are or whether you can eat roses or any other way to think about roses.

Hi HayleyWriter, Good one! I like that! I can work with that.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for the idea about roses. I like that one, too. I really appreciate all the help and am excited to get started.

Hi Rose,

I am sure you will find your feet here. Just write about topics you know. I think you'd be surprised at what you do know about when you come to think about it. I suggested mine to make you laugh, but you do know how that feels, so you can actually write about it. Look at the recently sold list and the searched keywords for ideas. If someone is searching for a topic but not finding an article, you can write an article on that topic. Also, read the public requests as these are requests for specific articles that someone is waiting to purchase. The most important thing to do is to get started. Write your article, proofread it well, and submit it.

Good luck,

Hayley

Hi Hayley,

I took your suggestion and wrote about something I know well. My article was reviewed and returned. I resubmitted it and it has been accepted. What an awesome feeling. Hopefully it will sell! I had decided to wait and see if my first article was accepted before I started to write the next one. I have two more subjects in mind. I'm thinking that I will get a little more familiar with the writing guideline requirements before I attempt a public request. They seem intimidating to me. Thanks again for your help. We'll see what happens. Fondly, Rose.
