unsolicited content suggestion to customer?

I have a customer who has bought two of my articles from the public request sections recently.
By now, I know what their interest is. I thought a good use of my time would be to write several quality articles geared toward their website. Can I do this and send them a message saying something like, "Here is an article I wrote that I thought you may be interested in." ???? Is that acceptable/tasteful,etc even if they have no private or public request up?
