Poetry requested content

Hi,

In the writer guidelines you make it clear that creative writing, including poetry, is not permitted. However, there is a requested content request for a job which is asking for poems. Is this acceptable even though it goes against writers guidelines?

Thanks,

Matt

No writer is allowed to submit poems on spec - but if a customer requests a poem through a public or private request, submit away. It's allowed, otherwise the request wouldn't have gone through. The Eds are aware of these types of requests, but it couldn't hurt to include a brief note at the beginning of your poem, letting them know that your poem is for a public request. Once it's approved, just go in and delete the note to the Eds.

I am so glad someone posted this here. I hadn't looked at the requested content in several weeks, and probably would have missed it. Thank whatever diety you worship for customers.
