Customer wants samples

If a customer does not specify exactly what is to be written, but wants to see a sample of work, do I submit the sample as if it were an article?

Please advise how to go about this.

Not sure how they are requesting a sample, but this is why you want to have a portfolio of content posted. Send the client to see your articles which include sample text (or full text). Good luck.
