Hi,

I'm just wondering if there is a minimum and/or maximum word count limit for spec articles? I had a look on the writer guidelines but it doesn't seem to say.

There's not really a defined limit. I've sold some short 200-wordish blog posts and some longer 1500+ wordish articles. Remember, most of the articles here are destined for the Web or ezines so they're relatively short. I usually shoot for about 500-600 words.
