Note to Editor in Short Summary

Hi
I have read suggestions here in the forums to include an explanatory note to the editor in the short summary when necessary. So I did, and my article was returned with this note.

"The article itself seems OK this time, but unfortunately, you mistakenly placed a note to the C-C editors in the short summary. The short summary is intended for potential buyers, so notes and comments unrelated to an article summary don't belong."

???

I think they're afraid you might accidentally leave the notes in. Use notes to the editors sparingly. For example, "Typo in second paragraph corrected" isn't necessary whereas "Hyperlinks included per customer's request" would be.
