Public Request - fulfilling the whole order

Just curious, is there any kind of penalty if a public client requests two articles and you only provide one? Obviously, your goal is to write both, but sometimes unforseen circumstances prevent you from doing the whole order.

Customers buy one at a time. You are not obliged to write more than one, but of course, you may. Other authors may also be submitting articles from which the customer can choose. I would always submit one at a time, even if I planned to write more. Some customers choose to buy immediately they see something they like. Others like to wait a while and choose from a pile. Sometimes they purchase more than they have asked for.
