How much do you earn?
I have actually been a member of CC for a while now, but since I didn´t have at home internet access, i was never active. Now I am ready to start submitting dozens of articles! I have sold five articles in the past couple of weeks, but I am curious as to how much on average people earn here. Do you make a decent wage, or are you just moonlighting?
Hi freeprowriter and welcome!
I have no idea what the average wage is that writers make here at CC. I do know there is alot of potential to make money, though. I've been writing for CC about a year now. It was slow going at first, but as I figured out how the site works and what to write it's become more profitable. I've had ups and downs, feasts and famines, but that's the the nature of the beast. I'm sure you know that the key is continual marketing of yourself and persistence. I seriously believe that with all your ducks in a row you can make a good living writing for CC.
Good luck!

It's a full-time job for me (well--let me rephrase that. I live off of what I make at CC, even though I only spend 3-5 hours a day writing articles). The trick is to find out what people are buying, and balance that with articles on topics you know and love. So, for instance, if someone is buying articles on printers, and you know a lot about roses, research printers and write an article on them, then write a second article on roses. The first article will sell faster. The second one will hang around until someone comes to the site looking for an article on roses. It works very well. I write and upload 3 articles a day so that I have a steadily-growing repertoire of work for potential buyers to choose from.

I just started about a month ago and I earned about 60.00 the first month. I was so happy when my first article sold and have been very pleased with the site! But, I am getting a little discouraged. I just do not seem to be able to research and write an article quickly enough to really respond to the requests. The writers on here seem to be able to whip out great articles really quickly and I admire that but I can not do it. I guess I will just continue to write whatever strikes me as interesting and hope for the best. Maybe when I have been here a while longer I will get better at writing for requests. But, it is a great site!
I'm into my third month here and things are a bit slow. That's probably because I've been a bit slow with writing and submitting. I'm certainly not in the 3 articles a day league, but have fits and starts.
My first month netted me just over $100, but I didn't make the $50 threshold in the second, so got nothing. This month is much better and I feel like writing more, so who knows where that will take me.
This weekend I had a lovely surprise. A request came into my email inbox. I wrote an article stratight away and submittted it. CC approved it a couple of hours later and it sold straight away!
Now that's a first for me. I must have timed it perfectly.
A big thank you to CC for making that sale possible for me!

I've been here for about a year (maybe longer). This isn't a full-time gig for me - I have several regular clients that take up a lot of my time. That said things have dried up a bit on that front lately so I've been looking to do a few more articles to upload on CC to try to tide me over. I average about $120 a month, sometimes a lot more and sometimes a lot less. A lot of it depends on whether I know enough about the request topics to write about them.

I do this part time and bring in enough to pay the mortgage each month, set aside money for the tax man, and have money left over for spending or saving . . . I'm fortunate that I have several clients who keep me busy working on private requests. I absolutely love it here! You can pick and choose what you write.

Thanks!
It is really inspiring to see that you can make a decent amount. I write full time from home, but just lost my regular client, so I can probably submit around 10 articles a day here, which should build my earning base a little. Thanks for the tips and for your willingness to share! I am looking forward to making (and passing) the payout minimum next month.
