Foreign language in an article?

I've considered writing articles about learning Spanish, partly to see if they'd sell, and partly to help reinforce the information I'm learning in my Spanish class. But after looking around, I noticed something odd: Although there are many articles that talk about Spanish in a general way (why you should take a Spanish class, the difficulties of learning another language, etc), few of them seem to teach anything specific about the language itself (grammar rules, useful phrases, etc.)

Is it because there simply aren't many writers tackling this topic, or is it because Constant Content doesn't accept these kinds of articles? I wouldn't expect the editors to be fluent in Spanish, so it might be harder for them to check spelling and grammar for the bits in Spanish. I thought I'd ask here before I submit a "Learn Spanish" article and risk having it rejected.

Hi victorianeely

A quick search through CC articles reveals a piece by Lyndsey Shepherd, titled "The Hidden Pitfalls of Spanish".
Reading the summary, it seems there is plenty of Spanish content in that article. You could try contacting Ms Shepherd to see if she can share any advice about using foreign languages in CC articles.

Do not worry about rejections. We all get them, and we can choose to improve and resubmit the article, or simply pull it from the review process and submit a different piece of work.

If in doubt about anything you cannot find in the help and faq pages, send an email to the CC helpdesk; they seem to be a friendly bunch, ready to help us make money. :)

Good luck!

Edit: I also seem to remember seeing somewhere all articles must be able to stand on their own, without the need for part two, part three etc. Let the purchaser decide if they want to buy more from you, rather than tying them into a series from Basic to Intermediate Spanish.
