Hits on articles that aren't reviewed

I am confused about why this would be happening. Can the client see the article, even though it's not officially for sale yet?
What happens if I get an offer on an article that is not yet reviewed?

If you looked at the article while it is in review, it will count as a view. Also, I sometimes think the editors may hit view on the sample when reviewing it, as I have had this happen before when I had not viewed it myself.

I've hit my article instead of the edit button and noticed it recorded it. Otherwise I'm not sure.
