I could swear I've seen some writers mention getting paid twice a month on cc. I get paid by paypal, but I've checked and my payments only come once a month, even though I've had sales in both halves of the month. Am I imagining the twice-a-month thing?

You have to opt into the twice a month thing. Go to My Account > Edit My Account and choose Semi-Monthly under Payment Frequency. The default is Monthly.
