Discouraged!

Hello, I am a new writer here and have posted in excess of 10 articles in the last three weeks. I have not received any offers at all. I wonder if I might be pricing too high although I did price my articles when I compared them to others. Any thoughts? Does it take longer than a few weeks to garner any interest/ Thanks so much.

Don't be discouraged. It can take a few weeks to get your first sale.

Three weeks is early days. I'm sure it took me a couple of months to get my first sale.

The best way to secure your first sale is to build a varied portfolio. Keep writing and submitting and you will find that the sales do come. It just depends who is out there looking for the type of article you have submitted.

I submitted my first article on September 7th and got my first sale yesterday. I was wondering the same thing, because I'm priced at and sometimes a little above the CC guidelines on some of the pieces. (I have based my prices on how specialized the content is, what degree of actual benefit a user can get from it, etc.)

Turns out the first one that sold is an article with specialized information that I priced at $40 for usage.

It took about two months to get my first sale. But then suddenly I got three sales within a short time!

I had about 15 articles up before I saw a sale. That first one takes time, but it's worth it.
