About those best offers...

I priced an article I wrote for a public request at $25 with no option for people to offer less. The requestor had provided the range of $20-$30. I received a message in my inbox asking if I would be willing to sell usage for $20 instead.

This seems to confirm what someone said elsewhere. There's not much reason to use the best offer option (at least, not for public requests) unless you're wanting to unload something or want to get lowball offers only.

I think most people use it when they are new, then you learn it's not worth it unless, like you said, you just want to unload. I had 2 lowball offers on one of my first articles and I rejected each time. About a year later, it sold for the amount I wanted for it, so I suggest telling yourself what you *at least* want and put that minimum amount in the usage section. Possibly dropping it by a few bucks, since you can resell it again, but remove the best offer option.

I have a minimum amount I want for articles, and I very rarely haggle. The only time I'll sell for $7 is if the article has sold a few times and I realize its value has dropped significantly.
