Public request not listed?

Hi. I went to submit an article today for a new public request but when I went to select it from the drop down menu, it wasn't listed. It was only listed yesterday as a new request so I am a little confused. It should still have 6 days remaining. ThDoes that mean an article has already been accepted?
Any responses much appreciated.

The customer may have withdrawn the request for any number of reasons: Maybe he changed his mind, maybe he found a writer via other avenues, maybe he found an article in the CC catalog that matched perfectly, etc... The good news is that if the customer no longer needs the content, the request is gone. Kind of sucky if you were already working on it but good for the rest of the writers who might have considered it.

Here's more public request confusion: I just received the list of new requests for Thursday in my inbox. One of the titles is "All about puppy vaccinations." But when I look at Requested Content or try to pull down this title in public requests on the submission form, it is not there. What would be the situation in this case?

Probably the same thing as before. Shrug. I look at those as an opportunity to submit something that I might not have thought of myself. Even though there's no active customer for it, there also won't be as many similar articles because other authors might have dropped the idea when it disappeared.
