How to know if requested content is current?

I saw two article requests on the Requested Content page that I would like to write and submit. My question is, the dates are from March and April 2007. How do I know if the request has been met? I responded via the Q/A but haven't received a reply. I'd hate to go ahead and write the articles when they are no longer required?

Generally, if the client doesn't respond to your inquiry, it means he/she no longer needs any material. Sometimes a request will be taken down when it is fulfilled, but not every client is that conscientious.
