Question about Public Requests

The "Public Requests" area has me stymied. Today, I saw numerous public requests posted in my inbox here at CC, but they haven't arrived in my inbox in my private email. Others do show up. I can only imagine there is a time lag. However, when I go to write an article for one of these brand new public requests, they are also not available in the drop-down list. How can one write to a public request if you can't choose it from the drop-down list upon submission? I thought I would just submit the article and attach to an email later. However, the request (which appears to be still open) does not accept attachments. I don't know which public requests are open now and which are not. It would seem that a public request posted today should still be open and we should be able to submit to it via the system. What is going on? All the public requests I see posted today are not in my drop-down list at all - all of them!

Hi Claire,
I'm a bit unsure of the issue you're facing. When I checked to see if I could submit to today's requests, I found them in the drop-down box. When you say that you tried to attach your article did you use the link "[View Description][Send Message/ Attach Article] " that's next to the request? You need to go to "Submit Article" under "My Accounts". On the submit form you'll see a drop-down box next to "Is This For A Requests?". Select "Public Request" and you'll see another option "Select Public Request" appear below it. All active public requests will show up there and you can submit and attach your article.
Hope this helps!

If you have submitted an article to the general pool and it has been accepted, you should go to the request list, select the request and click on Send Message/Submit Article. Then click on Submit Article for Request. Then click on Document Look Up. This takes you to a list of your available articles, and when you choose the one you want, it will be listed on the submit article page. Don't forget to add a brief note for the customer as well before you click on Send Message. Hope this is helpful too. Good luck.

Jak-- Thanks, this was exactly the information that I was looking for. I am happy to learn that I can submit previously accepted articles to a public request!
