I have read and reread the writer's guidelines and looked in this forum. If you need to provide a citation for where you got information, how do you do this? Is there a particular style such as APA or MLA?

I wrote a travel article which I have not submitted yet. The guidelines say no live links unless requested by the customer. I presented a fact about the house of James Madison which I obtained from the official web site for his home, Montpelier. Can I put the link in the article because that is where I obtained the information?

Thanks.

References are great - standard references should be in MLA format.

Thanks for noticing we don't allow links or web addresses. Sometimes, if the article is more academic in tone, I allow them. However, if you've got only one site to cite, it's best just to put a reference section at the end of the article and the name of the website you used.
