errors

Dear Editor:

I have a question. I had an article rejected for clarity and grammar. However, I have spent a lot of time reading some other recent articles that have been approved. Some of these articles have contained grammar, punctuation, and spelling problems too. Therefore, it is surprising that they made it through. Do you all want to be notified about these errors so that they can be fixed when we find them? For example, there is a spelling error on your main page of recently approved articles under short summary. I was just wondering if perhaps an author has become established on here that the editors don't proofread their new articles quite as closely. I submit quality work and reread it several times.

Thanks,
Angela

We are all human and we all make errors - even the editors, who hand edit dozens of articles per day. However, when we do point out errors, they will have to be fixed prior to approval. You may carefully proofread your work, however, that doesn't always prevent some errors from slipping through. Our requests for revision are not made idly. Please concentrate on fixing your own errors so that we can get your articles approved quickly and efficiently.

Thanks,
Ed

As for the error on the front page, it was fixed during the approval process, but didn't "catch."
