Hey Folks

I just submitted my first article, but there are two things I'm not really sure about: I understand what the small introduction is, but: After the extra introduction of min. 30 words, does your actual article start right away, or does it need its own introduction? Is the introduction part of the article or rather some kind of "advertisement" or teaser for the article?

Second question: What is this long summary that should be at least 1/3 of your text? Does that mean you simply copy a part of your text as a teaser?

Welcome to CC! Here's what I hope is clarification (from the extended guidelines) for you:

"Short summaries must describe the article being submitted in a manner that is useful to the potential customer and must be at least 30 words in length. "

"Introductory Paragraph - Every article must begin with an introductory paragraph. Introductory paragraphs present the main idea of your article, orient your reader, and prepare him or her for what information the article will provide. Without an introductory paragraph, your reader will become lost or you will lose your reader."

In your short summary, you provide a descriptive commentary on the article. In your long summary, you must post at least 1/3 of your article. I typically post the entire thing, but a lot of writers prefer to post a shorter portion. Each article must be written with an introductory paragraph. This is different than what you write in the short summary, and it is part of the article itself.
