Hello

I set up a Paypal account and was given a 'send only account' I can't receive payment as I live in a country that has forex restrictions. I have an option to upgrade to a business level and then I can receive payments. As I've never used Paypal can anyone give me an estimate on fees charged?

I did look at the fees on Paypal but I would also like some info from any one who operates a business Paypal.

Regards
Annetta

I have Paypal's "Premier" account, which is slightly different in some ways, but I believe the fee structure is the same (unless you make a LOT of money through Paypal...something like $10,000 or so). It's $0.30 + 3%, so that out of $1 you would lose $0.33 in fees, but out of $10 you would lose only $0.60 in fees. Basically, fees are $0.30 plus three cents for every dollar. If you make LOTS of money, I think the fees drop to 1.5% or something like that.

That's after Constant Content's 35% fee, of course, so it does add up after a while. But I would definitely say it's worth it.

Thanks Keesa, that gives me something to work with. I'll contact my reserve bank here and find out if I can apply for a Premier Aaccount.
