Standard Currency Abbreviation

What is the abbreviation for "Philippine pesos" should we use in the articles we submit to Constant Content?? PhP, Php, or just P?
No idea. Write it out the first time and then use the abbreviation in parenthesis? For example:
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
Or check the way BBC or the NYT uses this abbreviation?
