Question about articles under review

A couple of questions...
1. I submitted some articles this morning that I wrote in reply to a request. In the past during the week, these articles were approved (or rejected) within a couple hours. It's been all day, and none of them have been approved yet. I realize we all have busy lives, but now, one of the articles I had written for this request has been posted as a topic by another writer (her/his own content) to the request Q&A and sold. This was a couple hours later...is there a reason for the delay today?
2. I noticed on the Q&A boards that it has a disclaimer not to post about articles that have not yet been approved by CC. I understand the reason without even being told (in case it was rejected). This is the reason, yes?
I'm sorry, I posted one earlier today before i noticed the disclaimer. My apologies.

If I understand you, your wrote the article and it was not approved as fast as you would have liked it to have been. I also assume that I either approved the other writer's article this morning or it was approved before the request came in.
I'm very sorry that you feel that your article should have been approved earlier. However, I did approve some articles this morning and cleared out the queque. Your article had not been submitted at that time. Today I had things I had to do. I didn't get a chance to get back to approving articles until 11pm.
I think Chris is right when he tells me I spoil the writers here. I am online 7 days a week approving articles so both the writers and the requesters can have the best service available. Unfortunately I can't make everyone happy all of the time. The CC site states that your articles will usually be approved within 3 days. I do my best to approve all articles in a category no matter how many there are. Tonight I'm approving Trivia and Facts. Tomorrow morning I will be approving auto articles and a few miscellaneous. My apologies for not getting through them all as quickly as usual.

I'm sorry, it's not what I was implying...I did say I realize we all have busy lives, I was just curious is all. I didn't mean to offend you...that wasn't my intent. I'm sorry if I came across harshly.

My apologies as well. I was still approving articles at midnight. It is now 6am where I live and I'm not going to start approving articles for a bit yet. I also didn't mean to sound harsh.
What article is it that you need approved? Is it an auto article? Please let me know and I will see where it stands in the queque and get to it as quickly as I can.
Today is another day and I will try to get all of the articles caught up. Some days there are very few. That is when I keep them all up to date. Others there are many, like yesterday, and it takes me a bit to get to them. Again, my apologies.
Thanks,

just to let everyone know I added that disclaimer for a couple reasons.
1. If you post a message saying your article is being approved, the requester gets a email every time someone does this. They get enough emails as it is there is no reason for a "here it comes" and "here it is" email. I just want to get people out of the habit of doing this before it gets worse.
2. At the point the article is being approved, they can't do anything but some will try to find it and not be able to. Also your article could get rejected and the requester may be looking for it for a while.
I understand this will happen from time to time, I put the disclaimer there to get people to stop. I’m not going to ban accounts for this, I would email and point out the disclaimer before banning.

Woops--I'm at fault here. Now I get how the question/answer system functions!

Double "Woops" for me!!
Dorothy, don't feel bad because I'm guilty as sin on that one. I've always saw other people post "just submitted and awaiting approval" and I do it all the time.
My main reason for doing it though isn't for the sake of the person requesting, it's really for the sake of other writers just in case someone is working on the same thing or thinking about it.
It's happened to me before that I would be putting some effort into a topic someone else already nailed and I wasn't upset because there's no way to know who's working on what. I'll stop now though...I learn something new everyday. (I never saw the disclaimer) LOL
PS. Thanks "TheWriteKind" for pointing that out too.

The disclaimer was just added because someone posted an email address and tried to contact the requester off the site. I figured it would be a good idea to add the other comment as well since it is a pet peeve of mine

I'm glad that was just posted because I just went to read it and sure enough it says you can't post any contact info or articles awaiting approval, I thought I needed to get my eyes checked out again! lol
That's a great idea though because when we do all that posting of "just submitted and awaiting approval" bit the board does look jumbled a bit.
Thanks for pointing that out invisible one, I really think you should call yourself that lol.

Not a problem...we are all busy. All the ones I have are auto articles at this time. Thanks for all you do.

Yer welcome.
To the other part of what you said, I do believe that is what this forum (not THIS one but another category) is to discuss what we are working on so we don't waste energy into something already done. It couldnt hurt to post "Im doing winterizing your car for the auto request" so that the next person could work on financing or buying a new car or one of the others. Its still a good idea to work on a winterizing your car, someone else may come along and snag it from you later...maybe he will want two (for whatever reason).
Just a thought.

Chris,
I'm glad you pointed this out. It's been a pet peeve of mine also.
The Write Kind, thanks for being so forgiving. I'm still way behind today, but will get caught up.

Lady Jade,
Lisa, thanks for putting the note about the spelling in your short summary. That reminded me of the request. Much appreciated.

Hey there invisible one, I just submitted one and I didn't put the note but I think you'll catch it because the title is similiar--I got faith in ya!
Your welcome by the way!
