How do we cite websites?

I have a question: since CC does not allow us to include URL addresses in our articles, how do we cite the online sources of our research?
Thanks in advance!

I believe you can list URLs but without including the "www" at the beginning. So, to cite wikipedia you would list it simply as wikipedia.org

Hi Cristina,
I'm sure the editors will correct this if I give you the wrong information. Unless the requester specifically asks for links to be included you can cite a website by leaving off the www. part. For example: According the the website ilovechocolate.com blah blah blah...
I hope this helps.
