I submitted a question to one of these posts but there was no reply and the question has now disappeared. I noticed the request is a couple of months old and suppose it has now been fulfilled. But I'm not sure.

When are these requests deleted? Does it happen automatically if they buy the content they want? Or does the site rely on the people who submit the request to ask for it to be deleted?

I'm sorry if your question went unanswered. Requests are the responsibility of the client to remove. If a client doesn't respond to you through the Q&A, chances are he has everything he needs.
