question about stats

Post by daenris »

Hi,

I'm new to constant content and just had a quick question from what I've seen so far. How is it that in the top-rated authors list, many of them list a much larger number of full-rights purchases than they do articles written? How can someone who's only written a few hundred articles for constant content have sold full-rights to over a thousand?

When one is sold full-rights does the number of articles written actually have one subtracted? So would the total number of articles they've written actually be #written + full rights (+ unique maybe?).

I'm not sure about unique, but I do know that full-rights articles that have already been purchased are not included in the total. I suppose this is because they are no longer available to be purchased.

Yes, the total number written is actually the number of currently available articles. For example, if an author sold 1000 articles yet only 75 show up as the total number written that means that the author actually has 75 currently posted and available for purchase. Obviously with 1000 sales under his or her belt, they must've subbed and sold at far more than 75. :o . The other thousand are gone (if sold for full or unique) and purged from CC. The wording could be better -- maybe total # available or something.
