Listing time of articles that sell.

Is there a way to know the original posting date of an article that gets sold? There are many articles I want to write, but I'd like to put into consideration the amount of time it may take to sell each one. Some of the articles I have in mind have a rather narrow focus and may take a while before they get picked up, if at all.
Or is this information that is best for writers not to know?

I'm actually the "personal taster" for the gods... so what time should I drop by to sample the hummus?
