Can I still write this rejected article?

I now have several articles approved. Now one got rejected because of "run-on sentences" and "confusing sentence fragments." My fault, I know. My style there was different from my usual and obviously, I missed that in the guidelines. (If you must know, it's a description of some games.) I reviewed the article and I think I know what needs to be done. But there are no specific instructions. The editor just said they don't accept articles like that. Can I simply resubmit the article with a new file attached? There's nothing that says "Please do not resubmit."

If they haven't said otherwise, you can. As long as you have a good understanding of what was meant by "run-on sentences" and "confusing sentence fragments", and how to change them, it's worth a try. You could add a note to the eds saying you were not sure but hope they just meant the grammatical aspects, rather than the topic.
