New Submission Form - Cut And Paste

Greetings All,
I am new to CC and recently sold my first article.
I am having some issues with the new submission form. Is everyone going into the form and cutting and pasting their articles in...or re-typing them into the submission form?
It would be much easier to simply cut and paste...however each time I do this and save the changes, there are formatting issues (paragraph spacing, # of spaces between sentences, etc). I go into the article and correct each item. After I save the changes the formatting issues reappear. Is it really necessary to retype each article to get them into this new form?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
