Hello - has anyone experienced this error?
When I copy text into the content editor from MS Word, apostrophes appear as follows: Instead of "it's", I get "Its".
If I then manually correct them, those characters turn from an apostrophe to a question mark - and I can't correct them.
I've been doing this with Word 97 and Firefox fine without any problems before today.
Many thanks
P

Re: Problem with Input in Content Editor
Just an update
This error appears only in the short and long summaries and not actually in the content editor itself.
Also, the error does not appear if I add and save each field until I add a Title. I added and saved each section and the text was fine. I finished by adding the title, and clicked Save Draft and the error appeared in all the text. I have tried deleting the content and starting again and it happens every time.
Thanks
P

Re: Problem with Input in Content Editor
HI
I am very new here and trying to submit initial articles.
I too am experiencing similar problems with the Long Summary and know of no way to fix the apostrophes or the mark-up appearing between sentences. I too have deleted and re-inputted material to no avail.
I found this happening today - the 15th - although the same draft had been fine when submitted at an earlier date.
I am also finding that the material placed in the Content editor simply disappears although the related file is there.

I have reported this to the helpdesk, so will advise separately if I hear anything else.

Re: Problem with Input in Content Editor
I am having the same issue. I also cannot make changes in content editor after saving articles in draft mode or after submitting them for review. All I get when I try to edit drafts or submitted articles is a blank box with no text showing. I have tried in several different browsers and on different computers. I have also reported this issue to the Help Desk.
Re: Problem with Input in Content Editor
ouch. Just saw mine are like that too, and I have a revision to do.
They must have rolled out changes yesterday, because it wasn't like that yesterday.

Sorry about that everyone. The content editor box should be appearing correctly now, and the error signs you are seeing should be gone very soon too.

Thanks for this. I just uploaded mine without any problems, so this appears to be fixed.Constant wrote:Sorry about that everyone. The content editor box should be appearing correctly now, and the error signs you are seeing should be gone very soon too.
