I er, ahem, am a writer of erotica under an alternative persona. I would like to respond to a public request for erotic fiction but I would prefer to keep my erotica separate from my more mainstream writing. Is there any way I can enable the requester to view my story without it being made generally available?

That's a good question. Maybe create a new CC account/penname for that if it's allowed? Or submit under your current account but enter the other byline in the body of the text? I don't know. I'll be curious what CC has to say.

It's up to you how you keep it separate. Either include a different byline or create a new account, like Celeste suggested. Whatever you choose to do, mum's the word from the editing perspective.

Thanks Ed and Celeste - I'll put my nom de plume in the byline and hope my in-laws aren't reading!

Isildae,
I'm writing the same type of articles and just put in my pen name in the by-line. As I'm not afraid of my in-laws reading it I do hope to get some more mainstream articles and stories published and so do not want something that might create problems later on. I hope to publish fantasy novels someday but until that starts paying the bills I need write what pays.

Thanks Kendric, fiction is my first love and I also harbour dreams of writing a fantasy novel - I'm a huge fan of Dragonlance, Robin Hobb, Holly Lisle etc. Experience has taught me that I seem to have a knack for writing erotica and while I'm comfortable writing it, I'd feel happier separating fact from fiction!

Anyway, it's up now so as Ed implied - now everyone can see what I've got!

PS. Good luck with your writing.
