Two other questions...

Just thought of a couple other questions. They are...
1) Is there a way to tell how many people have viewed an unsold work?
and...
2) Why does the "downloads" display on articles always have a "0" displayed?
Thanks,
Joe

Hello.
1. Yes. Go into the section called "My Content" and you'll see a list of approved or pending articles. For the approved ones, click "edit" and scroll to the bottom. Down there, you'll see a hit counter.
2. Only articles that have been sold for usage will show a number other than 0 under the downloaded field. Most articles sell for unique or full rights. When this happens, they are removed from the web site permanently. Because of this, some might think that nothing has ever been sold or downloaded which of course is wrong since the majority have sold for one time, exclusive rights and have been removed upon sale.
If you explore some of the articles, you'll see some that have been downloaded 1, 2, 3 or more times. Some writers go for usage sales exclusively while others (like me) prefer full rights.

Gotcha. Thanks.
So can usage articles be articles that you have published elsewhere...before their being put here? They can, right, because the author still holds the rights to them, yes?

Yes. As long as you have the rights and offer them only for usage, you can do so. Sometimes you have to alert the editors that the article appears elsewhere so they don't automatically reject you. It's best if the byline matches (obviously) otherwwise you may have to prove your identity.
